Often, the creation of a garden means planting plants in the ground in accordance with the landscaping project. Indeed, planting (landscaping) is one of the most noticeable stages of work, what most transforms the site. In fact, planting takes only 10% of the time it takes to create a garden and is performed at the final stage. The laying of the garden begins with much longer and more time-consuming work on the improvement of the territory.
- If the terrain is supposed to change on the site, then the creation of the garden should begin with such work. They are performed with the help of technology or manually – depending on the volume of soil being moved.
- When the main work on the movement of soil is completed, work begins on the organization of the drainage system (if necessary), as well as the construction of retaining walls, roads, sites. In parallel, work begins on the creation of an irrigation system, outdoor lighting cables are being laid, and preparations for planting work are underway.
- For the implementation of planting, it is necessary to prepare the seats – digging holes and filling them with a planting mixture. The size of the pits depends on the soil conditions of the site, the types of plants planted and their age. On average, for planting trees, pits are prepared from 1 m in diameter and in depth, and for shrubs – from 0.4 m. The size of planting pits can increase significantly depending on the age of the planted plants.

- The topsoil (0.25-0.30 m) is usually prepared more thoroughly, since it is in it that all herbaceous plants (annual and perennial flowers) and lawn grasses live and feed. The level of the topsoil after compaction should correspond to the level of roads and sites according to the Landscape Project.
- Once all the planting sites are prepared and the topsoil is compacted and initially planned, planting begins. This is one of the most interesting and responsible stages of work, since the site acquires a relatively formed appearance. After planting, the installation of the automatic irrigation system is completed.

- Landscaping works are being completed by sowing lawn grasses or decking the lawn in rolls.
- In the first case, the young lawn is mowed after 4-7 weeks from the date of sowing, it acquires a relatively mature appearance after the third mowing, and enters the time of real maturity for 2 years. In the second case, two-year-old sod is laid and the lawn needs time to root. After 1.5-2 weeks, the first mowing is made, after which the lawn is ready to withstand full loads.
- However, the formation of the site does not end there, as the garden grows and develops – and therefore needs support and care. At the same time, the necessary measure of care will be less if, when laying the garden, the principle of environmental friendliness is observed, all preparatory earthworks are thoroughly carried out, and watering is automated.
