Yulia Novakovska, landscape architect, founder, and head of the landscape bureau.
After graduating from Moscow State University of Forestry (Moscow State Forest University) in 2000, has been working in the field of landscape design and gardening.
“When I come to a site for the first time, I always try to highlight some of its features, something unique, from which I can build on in the search for a design solution. I pay attention to the house, the style in which it is built, geometry, and proportions. I look at the site and beyond: what views open up, can I use them? What is the nature around, and what is the most expressive in it? In the process of these observations, an image of a garden is born, which I then transfer to paper.”
The landscape bureau of Novakovskaya Yulia was established in 2005.
Since 2005, more than 60 gardens have been designed, of which 44 have been implemented by us. Most of our work is located in Kyiv, Kyiv region, and other regions of Ukraine.
Over the years, we have gained experience in creating gardens in different environmental conditions and faced a wide range of working situations. Experience allows us to respond sensitively to the wishes of customers, and make the right and appropriate decisions in situations of any complexity.
Approach to work
Most of our works are created in the style of “Natural Garden”.
This style involves the maximum use of the ecological features of the territory, which determine its uniqueness. What does it look like in practice?
On a site with a high level of groundwater, you can create a water garden, where a reservoir or group of reservoirs will become the basis of the composition.
An open, ventilated space is ideal for compositions in the “Steppe” style using decorative cereal grasses and steppe flowers.
The site, which is located near the forest, can be designed as a forest edge or a clearing that goes into an existing forest.
In all these cases, the garden becomes a logical continuation of the surrounding landscape, the elements of its design do not look artificial or too exotic. A competent garden layout will allow you to link the natural features of the territory with the requirements of comfort: it will not allow the wind or excess sun to spoil your pleasure. You will be able to enjoy the unique features of your site, for which it was once chosen!
Team
Our task is to fully think over the design solution and include in the project all the details related to its implementation. Thanks to the joint work of our specialists, gardens are created in which not only the design, but also its technical component is thought out in detail.
